I know what a car is, I have a feeling. First?

Climate change is getting worse year by year due to heavy rains, droughts and fires. You can hang for many years. Our world is doing nothing to stop it.

Violence is escalating in the United States. As traditional heritage is the most modern, our government is committed to upholding the laws of the country. The United States is not addicted to treatment, it relies on the views of Trump and Joe Rogers.

Most of the time we don't see the doctors every year.

Prices are rising, product prices are rising, but wages are rising. A luxury home isn't good for most people, you just don't know why you shouldn't build a home because it isn't working. Price

Yes, no BT.

It is a problem when the police are meeting black people every day.

We all know democracy, we change leaders, we are against free and fair elections. On the other hand, politicians try to make difficult decisions. Strong thinking.

Am I missing something?

The future is uncertain.

What's even scarier is that it's pretty deadly to anyone no matter their age. I've heard of stories of middle aged (and even younger) people getting into fights and they die from simply getting punched in the face really hard.

A couple of years ago I was standing on a chair to fix something and I fell off on my back and my head hard on the ground. I really shouldn't have taken that as lightly as I did. It hurt for 30 minutes and I felt fine after that but shit, I was stupid for taking it so lightly.

Dont think it was an ill intended comment. Maybe ignorant, but nothing as bad like right wingers comparing the whole pandemic mandates with Nazi germany

Yeah, her comment she made years ago when she said that when Cosby raped women it didn't count as "rape rape" was a lot worse, but for some reason the outcry for that wasn't nearly as bad as this. The media talked about it for like a couple of days and that was it and people quickly forgot about it. I bet that comment is going to be replayed a lot now though.

Yeah, I suspect she made a shot at sounding wise and profound, but instead fell short at the jump and plummeted into the depths of dumbassery.

She seems to have thought: "You can't tell Jews and non-Jewish Germans apart just by looking at them, so these racial differences weren't real". Yet she's struggled to grasp the simple, commonsense notion that even if Nazi "racial" beliefs were based on nonsense, on pseudo-science, on old prejudices dolled up in modern fancy dress, their "racial" ideology mattered profoundly and it motivated and underpinned a genocide.

Yup.

Earth has more tree species than we thought

There are 14% more tree species than previously thought, according to what researchers are calling the first "scientifically credible" estimate.

Of the 73,300 estimated species, the researchers predict there are 9,200 that are yet to be discovered.

But most rare species are in tropical forests, fast disappearing because of climate change and deforestation.

The study is based on a database of tens of millions of trees in more than 100,000 forest plots around the world.

The researchers used statistical techniques to predict the likely number of tree species, correcting for gaps in existing data.

The findings suggest more must be done to protect the incredible life forms needed for food, timber and medicine and to fight climate change by sucking carbon dioxide from the air.

Lead researcher Dr Peter Reich, of the University of Minnesota in St Paul, said the findings highlighted the vulnerability of global forest biodiversity.

"Our data will help us assess where biodiversity is the most threatened," he told BBC News.

"This is in the tropics and subtropics of South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania and those are places where we discovered hotspots of known and unknown rare species.

"Knowing about these hotspots, hopefully, can help prioritise future conservation efforts."

South America - the continent with the most "missing" species - has about 43% of the total number, followed by:

  • Eurasia (22%)
  • Africa (16%)
  • North America (15%)
  • Oceania (11%)

Diverse natural forests are the most healthy and productive, important to the global economy and to nature.

The vast majority are in tropical countries where deforestation is largely driven by:

  • growing the ingredients of food eaten in the West, such as beef, palm oil and soy (the last two of these are also used for cattle feed)
  • climate change
  • fires

More than 140 international researchers worked on the study, in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal.

Dr Yadvinder Malhi, of the University of Oxford, said tropical forests were the "global treasure chests of biodiversity" and significant absorbers of carbon dioxide emissions, slowing global warming.

"This study shows that tropical forests are even more diverse in their trees than we had previously imagined," he said.

  • Adams County Judge Robert Adrian reversed his decision to convict Drew Clinton, 18, of sexually assaulting Cameron Vaughan, 16, in May
  • The judge said nearly five months in custody was punishment enough and refused to hand down the court's minimum four year prison sentence for rape
  • Adrian instead ruled that the prosecution failed to prove their case, setting Clinton free and preventing the possibility of an appeal
  • Vaughan said she cried after the judge's decision, breaking her silence on Tuesday to recount how Clinton allegedly raped her during a graduation party
  • The judge has faced backlash over the decision from advocates of sexual abuse survivors who said his decision sends a chilling message to victims
  • On Wednesday, Adrian threw a prosecutor out of court for liking a Facebook post slamming his decision

Black & Decker was founded in 1910. They have been selling the one-person drill since 1914. Their inspiration was a Colt pistol with a handgrip and trigger. In 1946, they introduced the first 1/4 -inch home utility drill. It sold for $16.95.

In 1961, they launched their first cordless drill. It was a great advance, Mr. Decker said, but people werent prepared to pay $100 for it. Spending a lot of money was not a problem for the U.S. government, however. In 1971, NASAs Apollo 15 mission drilled core samples on the moon with a Black and Decker cordless drill.

Today you can pick up a Black and Decker cordless drill at Home Depot or Amazon for $26.51.

We buy things with money, but we pay for them with our time. That means its better to analyze the cost of drills using time prices. To calculate the time price, we divide the nominal price by the nominal hourly wage. That will give us the hours of work required to earn enough money to buy a drill. We can then compare the time prices over time to see if abundance has increased or decreased. If hourly compensation increases faster than the money price, the time price decreases.

According to Measuringworth.com, blue-collar hourly compensation (wages and benefits) increased from $1.13 in 1946 to $32.54 in 2021. While the money price of the drill increased by 56.4 percent, hourly compensation increased by 2,779.6 percent. Buying a drill went from requiring 15 hours of work to just 49 minutes. In other words, the time price has dropped by 94.6 percent.

The time required to earn enough to purchase one drill in 1946 would get you 18.41 drills in 2021. Drill abundance, the holes they can create, and the screws they can install, have become 1,741.2 percent more abundant.

Maybe a member of your family would like to receive a drill this Christmas. You can thank Black and Decker and the other drill innovators and entrepreneurs who have made these handy tools so affordable.

Well @The_Sock I'll give you credit for having the balls to accuse me of what some others in this topic want to say but are too cowardly to: that given the circumstances, I too would also become a kidnapper and murderer.

I mean, there's a reason other people don't accuse me of that: mostly because they realized that they don't know me well enough to insinuate that, but also because it makes them look like a sicko egging others on to admitting to want to commit murderous violence.

But I suppose if I don't directly answer your question you'll become one of those "answer the question tho!" people regardless of how bad faith the question you're asking is.

So the answer is an honest "I don't know exactly" because I've never been put in such a situation before: where someone I loved was terribly wronged.

All I can say is that when I was young I had an anger problem that made me lash out to people, which got me in a lot of trouble. The thing is as soon as I realized I'd hurt someone, I folded. Hard.

Crying. Anxiety. Despair. These were all symptoms of things I felt once I'd known that I'd truly hurt someone. And that's not just physical hurt either. Emotional hurt as well. Hell I said something that I knew would hurt someone pretty bad a couple of months ago. This was online so I couldn't even see their reaction, but that same well of anxiety grew deep in my stomach, despite not knowing how much I'd hurt them, because my intent was there.

I believe this is because I know that deep in my heart of hearts that trying to hurt people was wrong, no matter what. That's how I can say with confidence that what the father did was wrong.

That doesn't mean I don't get dark thoughts. Everyone does. Wishing you could hit something/someone, revenge ideation, etc. The problem comes once those thoughts become actions.

@CyricZ But if someone threatened your life or the life of someone you loved you would do everything you could to protect them right? That's all I'm asking. Because I have a feeling @Tenlaar wouldn't do anything to defend their own life or the life of someone they loved with what they've been saying.

Father 'killed his daughter's boyfriend, 19, by stuffing him into the trunk of a car and repeatedly stabbing him' after discovering he'd sold her to a sex trafficking ring: Body was found after a year
  • John Eisenman, 60, is charged with first-degree murder and jailed in Spokane
  • Aaron Sorenson's rotting corpse was found in car's trunk in the city last month
  • He allegedly sex trafficked Eisenman's juvenile daughter into Seattle last year
  • Eisenman rescued daughter Oct. 2020 and then went after Sorenson, cops say
  • He stabbed the teen to death, stuffed him car trunk in Nov. 2020, it is alleged
  • Sorenson's body was only discovered last month, leading to Eisenman's arrest

I don't condone murder but I think any parent in their right mind can completely understand why this father killed the boyfriend who sold his daughter into a sex trafficking ring.

like that movie The Visit?

They were scary in that movie but then they turned out to be simply mental patients who escaped an asylum, thus not making them as scary as they could've been. The evil elderly people I'm talking about are people who were regular people.

Seeing those shows about evil kids on Investigation Discovery chill me to the bone. Something as innocent as kids doing unthinkable things is just so hard to process. Same for evil elderly people.

This guy is a complete badass. Didn't use any guns. Didn't even use a weapon. He just used his hands and nothing else. And what's more? The other robber got so scared he ran away in terror LOL.

Think about it. If you had to protect someone you cared about deeply from someone who was trying to kill them, and you had no choice but to use physical force, wouldn't you kill that that person if that's what it came down to? If you said no, I don't believe you.

Florida Man Tries to Rob Waffle House With Finger Guns, Nabs Napkins in His Exit

A Florida man has been arrested after attempting to rob a local Waffle House with finger guns and stealing napkins from the local restaurant.

On Tuesday, the Madison County Sheriff's Office said that 28-year-old Eward Wiliam Rodriguez of Madison, Florida is facing charges for unarmed robbery and assault after trying to rob the restaurant while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Witnesses at the restaurant told Madison County deputies that Rodriguez walked into the Waffle House with a small dog, gestured his hands into finger guns and yelled out, "get on the ground, y'all are getting robbed!" Rodriguez then grabbed a handful of napkins and fled the scene.

Shortly afterward, Madison County deputies caught up with Rodriguez at home where he confessed to robbing the restaurant of its napkins, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

Yes, this is another Florida story.

Also, he was so high he probably thought the napkins were dollar bills.
